Hi family and friends, as all of you know I am researching pediatric brain cancer in a lab at Seattle Children's Research Institute in the Ben Towne Center for Pediatric Cancer and Blood Disorders Research. As I am sure you are also aware, federal research funding for scientific research is under attack. Federal grants give us the money to do the amazing work in our lab and others around the nation to help generate cures for diseases including what is near and dear to our hearts in our center, pediatric cancer. We are working to unearth cures for pediatric cancers, many of which are still 100% lethal to children.
This year I am participating in the Run of Hope, a fundraiser to benefit pediatric cancer research at Seattle Children's. I know the world is tough right now and money is tight. Please, if you can spare even a few dollars, consider donating to the Run of Hope so we can continue our research and help create new treatments to save pediatric cancer patients.
