For those of us who have walked the painful road of watching a child endure surgery after surgery, rounds of chemotherapy and radiation, countless needles, hair loss, and the relentless weight of illness — we know this journey all too well. We know the fear, the exhaustion, the helplessness. And for families facing this not once, but twice — it’s a burden almost too heavy to imagine.
This year, I will once again be donning my inflatable garb and walking in honor of Josie and Lucy.
Seattle Children’s leads the world in CAR T-cell immunotherapy and pediatric cancer research. Their scientists are pioneering treatments that are not only more effective, but far less toxic — giving kids the chance to heal and, most importantly, to just be kids.
But this life-saving work depends on support. In a time of reduced funding for science and research, philanthropy matters more than ever.
Please consider donating. Your gift fuels hope, speeds up cures, and helps create a future where every child gets the chance to simply grow up.
